Group Sales Evaluations
Group sales evaluations allow group sales managers to practice and improve their selling techniques for group business opportunities at any type of hotel. An evaluator will contact a group sales manager at your hotel to present a business opportunity and conduct a full sales call. The evaluator will then appraise and carefully score the manager's sales performance according to parameters and key criteria established by you and the ShopTalk2000 taskforce. The evaluation form will either be emailed to you or available to view on a customized account on the ShopTalk2000 website. An audio file of the call is also available; all managers being recorded must first sign a waiver.
Catering Sales Evaluations
Catering evaluations allow catering sales managers to practice and improve their selling techniques for social or catering business opportunities at any type of venue. An evaluator will contact a catering sales manager at your hotel to present a catering event opportunity and conduct a full catering sales call. The evaluator will then appraise and carefully score the manager's sales performance according to parameters and key criteria established by you and the ShopTalk2000 taskforce. The evaluation form will either be emailed to you or available to view on a customized account on the ShopTalk2000 website. An audio file of the call is also available; all managers being recorded must first sign a waiver.
Regional Sales Office Evaluations
Regional Sales Office (RSO) evaluations allow RSO managers to practice and improve their selling techniques for business opportunities. An evaluator will contact a manager at your regional office to present a business opportunity and conduct a full sales call. The evaluator will then appraise and carefully score the manager's sales performance according to parameters and key criteria established by you and the ShopTalk2000 taskforce. The evaluation form will either be emailed to you or available to view on a customized account on the ShopTalk2000 website. An audio file of the call is also available; all managers being recorded must first sign a waiver.
Competition Evaluations
Available upon request at any time, Competition evaluations can provide valuable insights into the properties against which your sales team is selling. They can be extremely enlightening and a wise investment! Using the same evaluation criteria used for Group and Catering evaluations, an evaluator will contact the competitor(s) of your choice, appraising and carefully scoring their performance according to parameters and key criteria established by you and the ShopTalk2000 taskforce. Although these calls cannot be recorded, the evaluation will include a written summary of the conversation. Upon completion, the evaluation form will be emailed to you. Tele-Training Evaluations
TeleTraining evaluations allow sales managers to receive one-on-one training that addresses specific strengths and areas for improvement in their sales techniques. The TeleTraining program has been very well received by most managers, who appreciate the additional insights they can garner from immediate feedback and personalized training. A professional Trainer will contact a sales manager at your hotel to present a business opportunity and conduct a full sales call. The Trainer will appraise and carefully score the manager's sales performance according to parameters and key criteria established by you and the ShopTalk2000 taskforce. After the evaluation has been completed, the Trainer will then personally review it with the manager so that the manager may better understand their strengths, as well as the areas they can work to improve. The evaluation form and notes will then be emailed to the manager for future reference.
Sales School Pre and Post Evaluations
As components of your overall training program, Pre- and Post-Sales School evaluations allow managers to receive sales performance scores and evaluations before and after attending official sales training classes. These evaluations are specifically designed to support your company's sales basics or goals. Pre-evaluations give trainers ample information with which to personalize their course curriculum. Post- evaluations then allow managers to demonstrate the skills they learned during training, as well as track the effectiveness of that training. For both of these services, an evaluator will contact a sales manager at your hotel to present a business opportunity and conduct a full sales call. The evaluator will then appraise and carefully score the manager's sales performance according to parameters and key criteria established by you and the ShopTalk2000 taskforce. The evaluation form will either be emailed to you or available to view on a customized account on the ShopTalk2000 website. Training Classes "Walking in the Shoes of the Customer"
Available upon request, ShopTalk2000's full-day “Walking in the Shoes of the Customer” training course is designed to assist Sales and Catering Managers in understanding how to be successful with customers in reactive sales situations. The course content can be customized to meet your exact sales basics. Teaching methods include individual exercises, presentations, review of actual sales recordings, teambuilding, role-play, and various other activities designed to strengthen your sales teams. Hotels that have participated in these classes have a proven history of generating increased revenue. Additional classes are available upon request.
Take No Messages Evaluations
Are your sales managers as available as you think they are? Take No Message (TNM) evaluations allow you to track and gain full awareness of your managers' availability to phoning customers. An evaluator will place a call to your hotel, asking for a manager empowered to quote rates and availability. The evaluator will then track the amount of time it takes to actually reach the manager, or should a manager be unavailable, the amount of time it takes for a manager to return the call. If a manager fails to return a call within 24 hours, an email notification will be generated promptly. Details for each call will be either emailed to you or available to view in the customized account on the ShopTalk2000 website.
Electronic Request for Proposals Evaluations
Where are your internet inquiries going ? Electronic Request for Proposal (ERFP) evaluations are designed to help managers improve their response time to fax inquiries and email inquiries submitted on a hotel's webpage. Like TNM evaluations, they allow you to track and gain full awareness of your managers' availability to these customers. An evaluator will submit either a fax inquiry or a webpage RFP to your hotel, tracking the amount of time it takes for a manager to respond to the inquiry. If a manager fails to respond to a lead within 24 hours, ShopTalk2000 will send your property an email notification, including details of the inquiry made.
Reservations Evaluations
Reservations evaluations allow sales associates to practice and improve their selling techniques with customers requesting room reservations. An evaluator will contact a reservations agent at your hotel to present a reservation opportunity. The evaluator will then appraise and carefully score the agent's sales performance according to parameters and key criteria designed by you and the ShopTalk2000 taskforce to reinforce your sales basics. The evaluation form will be emailed to you, along with an optional audio file. All managers being recorded must first sign a waiver.
PBX Evaluations
PBX evaluations allow your phone operators to practice and improve their efficiency in handling incoming calls. The evaluation results also enable you to track and gain full awareness of the customer experience upon first contacting your hotel. An e valuator will contact your PBX agent , appraising and carefully scoring their phone performance according to parameters and key criteria designed by you and the ShopTalk2000 taskforce to reinforce your basics for excellence in customer service. The evaluation form will then be emailed to you, along with an optional audio file. All managers being recorded must first sign a waiver.
Front Desk Evaluations
Front Desk evaluations allow front desk staff to practice and improve their techniques when handling customer calls. An e valuator will contact your front desk agent , appraising and carefully scoring their phone performance according to parameters and key criteria designed by you and the ShopTalk2000 taskforce to reinforce your basics for excellence in customer service. The evaluation form will then be emailed to you, along with an optional audio file. All managers being recorded must first sign a waiver.
Competitive Grid Evaluations
Competition Grid evaluations can be conducted for a number of competitor properties at once. An evaluator will contact each competitor you specify, retrieving their rates and other key criteria that your hotel wishes to re ceive . All this information will be organized on a grid form for easy comparison and emailed to you.
